Create Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSP)

Overview

Main contractors and subcontractors develop a Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) to outline how health and safety will be managed on a job.

It records the basic health and safety actions that companies and individuals will need to follow.

Pull information required under the SSSP and combine into a PDF document to store records in the system, or PDF and send to others who require the SSSP document.

Create a SSSP

  1. Login to SiteSmart.
  2. Select "Site-Specific Safety Plans" on the side navigation bar under resources.
  3. Select, "Create plan" or "+ Add new".
  4. Enter the site information, work details and choose what you want to provide (or have been requested to provide).
  5. Work through the steps by selecting the relevant information for the job.
  6. Download your SSSP document (PDF) to share externally.
  7. Your SSSP documents are then stored under "Site-Specific Safety Plans" on the side navigation bar for future access.
